Updating software failed
Then I open the Creative Cloud application from the program list and it updates without any problems what so ever.
When that fails we reboot the computer and start it up in Safe Mode with Networking.
If it didn't, you might try looking in the DNS event log on the server to see if there are any issues there.
I'm not sure if it would say whether or not a client failed to register or not, but may show you other issues with DNS if they exist. I believe you have a permissions error, I had a similar issue and although the how to was directed at Windows Server 2012.
These might include changes to the same lines of code.
SVN is not able, in most cases (if not all) to merge the changes, since they touch the same portion of the code.
